Terms and Definitions

Deliveranceevicting the demonic oppression on our lives that cause us to have undesirable issues (anger, fear, depression, addictions, etc.) in our lives.

Inner-healing
- the healing of emotions and hurts to our soul and spirit.

Demons
- are invisible spiritual entities with minds, emotions and wills of their own, in league with and under the control of Satan.

Demonic Oppression
- the term used to represent the "pressure" exerted by demons to get us to sin, to keep us involved in sin, to blind us to God's truth and/or to keep us bound in limitations.

Stronghold
- a demonic grouping or demonic interconnectedness.  It's a fortress of lies we believe.  A Stronghold is a way of thinking and feeling that develops a life of its own, that we lose control of.  A Stronghold gathers fleshly motives and feelings about itself that become landing fields for demons that specialize in anger, hate, fear, envy, lust, and slander.  2 Cor 10:3 - "Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."

Soul Tie
- an emotional bond between two people.  A Godly Soul Tie could be between a Husband and Wife, a Parent and Child, a Brother and Sister, a Boss and an Employee, between Friends, Sexual Partners, etc.  Ephesians 5:31 says, "a husband and wife become 'One'."  1 Samuel 18:2 says, "the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul."  A Soul Tie can become "ungodly" when it's with someone who uses it to push your emotional buttons to accomplish their desired reaction that isn't what you would usually want.  1 Corinthians 6:16-17 says, "Do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For 'the two,' He says, 'shall become one flesh'."  You can have an "Ungodly" Soul Tie and a "Godly" Soul Tie with the same person.  Breaking an Ungodly Soul Tie doesn't break or harm the Godly Soul Tie.  We've found breaking a Soul Tie in an Addiction problem has a profound result in a person’s freedom.

Open Door
- the sin, curse, or event that allows demons to oppress you.

Legal Right
- a right that legally allows demons to oppress you.

Curse -
