RTF Ministry Description

Detailed Description of the Thorough Format RTF Ministry

The Thorough RTF ministry model is based on 15 hours of ministry per individual. For couples, there is also two combined (joint) sessions, for a total of 35 hours.

Session 1: Interview - The RTF ministry receiver completes a detailed application that is re-viewed and prayed over by the RTF ministers prior to starting the process. In the first session the RTF ministers gather detailed information about the ministry receiver's life, including the sins of his ancestors.

Session 2: Sins of the Fathers and the Resulting Curses - Our ancestors have sinned and the resulting curses have set us up for failures. The sins and curses give the enemy legal ground to harass us. Jesus shed His Blood at the Cross that we might be freed from the sins and resulting curses that come down the family line (Gal 3:13). In the ministry time each ministry receiver personally appropriates freedom from these sins and curses. This freedom is not automatic, since everything we receive from God must be by faith (Heb 11:6).

Sins that are passed down the family line have a particular tenacity requiring determined appropriation of the freedom Jesus bought for us. God establishes the pattern for confession in Lev 26:40, which we see applied in Daniel 9, Ezra 9, and Nehemiah 2 and 9. First John 1:9 continues this principle as God requires us to be accountable for violating His Law. Many people call this "Identification Repentance."

Also during this session, the ministry receiver listens to hear what God may give him in place of the ancestral sin and curses.

Session 3: Ungodly Beliefs - All of us have formed Ungodly Beliefs as we experience life's circumstances. We draw conclusions about people, and what the world is like, based on the hurts and lies we have received from ancestors, parents, teachers, employers and friends. We were taught worldly "truths" that are not true. These are often blind spots in our belief system. These Ungodly Beliefs give the enemy legal ground to lie and deceive us. Ungodly Beliefs need to be renounced and changed into Godly Beliefs based solely on God's Word. The ministry receiver has the opportunity to discover which Ungodly Beliefs form the roots of his problems. He is offered a simple process of repentance and renewing of the mind to set him free. Romans 12:1-2 tells us to "be transformed by the renewing of our minds." This ministry is actively transforming our thoughts and renewing our minds according to God?s Word.

Session 4: Soul/Spirit Hurts - The Soul/Spirit Hurts session is the one in which the ministry receiver and RTF minister often see the Father's heart in a very special way. How intimately He knows us, how graciously He loves us, how much He desires to heal us. In Luke 4:18, Jesus declares that God has sent Him to heal the broken hearted, to set at liberty them that are bruised. In Psalm 23 David says that God leads us beside the still waters. He restores our soul.

In this session we minister to the ministry receiver's hurts that may be right at the surface or buried so deep that they have been forgotten. We dig deep to expose the roots. The RTF ministers provide an opportunity through "Waiting Upon the Lord" Listening Prayer for the ministry receiver to encounter Jesus and receive healing. Since our Ungodly Beliefs help hold our Soul/Spirit Hurts in place, it is easy to see how both give place to the enemy to deceive and lie to us. Ministry to this area, as well as the preceding two, takes the legal ground away from the enemy to steal, kill and destroy.

Session 5: Demonic Oppression - 1 In 1 John 3:8, we read that Jesus came that He might destroy the works of the devil. In Matthew 10:1, Jesus gave His disciples power and authority to drive out unclean spirits. In James 4:7, we are told to submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from us.

Freeing people from Demonic Oppression was a normal part of Jesus' life and ministry. When He died on the Cross, He defeated satan and his demons for all time. We have to enforce this victory in our lives that Jesus won for us. Jesus wants deliverance to be a normal part of our Christian life. It frees us from lies, deception and bondage. It frees us to hear only from God. In this session, we use the authority that Jesus gave us to drive out the demonic forces in the ministry receiver's life.

There are two additional sessions for married couples. The first one is designed to help the RTF ministry team understand the marriage issues. The second one brings healing to the marriage and unity in establishing supportive goals between the spouses.
