Ministering to the Human Spirit - NEW !
Man is a trichotomy, a three part being consisting of our Spirit, our Soul, and our Body.
1 Thess 5:23 - "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
When we are saved, our Spirit is transformed into the likeness of Christ. Unfortunately our soul and body are still targets for the enemy. The church has historically agreed that our soul is our mind, our will, our emotions, and our memory. We know the enemy has access to put thoughts in our mind, as most of us can relate to having thoughts that are not fully glorifying to God. The enemy has access to our body, because it still has illnesses, aches, and pains. Our Spirit, although sanctified, can still have hurts. Inner Healing and RTF do a good job of ministering to those hurts, but we don't do much else to 'minister to our spirits'.
